Ontario Challenge Cars

Fra tutti i modi di segnare con la nostra presenza l’evento ufficiale del G 8 Ambiente of Syracuse, we in the environmental forum "All G" we chose the most difficult, perhaps the most ambitious: to discuss with the City of topics of international scope such as climate change, biodiversity, the relationship between poverty and neoliberalism, to prove to highlight the close link with issues much closer to us as the protection of public health, protection of the landscape, the illegality of the environment, waste management. Event Title: "climate justice and the rights of peoples."

no compromise even for a moment the radical critique of dominant economic development model, we decided to emphasize that the way for a more just and sustainable future also depends on the individual responsibility of our citizens and virtuous choices every day that everyone can do to improve the environment and conserve biodiversity.

more easily (and conveniently) we could choose to stay at the window limit ourselves to commenting on the results of the summit "official" (very low, as expected) the grotesque attempts of the Minister, the Mayor and subjected to assorted turn in twenty days Syracuse in a model of urban sustainability, or we could concentrate all our efforts in organizing an event, entrusting to it the hope of mobilizing the consciences of the citizens on the issues that most concern us.

In both cases we would have betrayed our truest vocation, to stand in the territory to confront the contradictions that says: dall'incongruenza Government that since taking office has tried to sabotage all the international negotiations on climate el ' sustainable energy, by proposing a return to nuclear power, the operations of unscrupulous real estate speculation of the local administrators in Sicily - Syracuse! - Consume land and destroy biodiversity.

Above all, we would have given up the construction of "All G", which beyond any assessment outcome della tre giorni di piazza Santa Lucia, rimane il risultato migliore e più evidente della nostra azione: un prezioso patrimonio di unità d’intenti, relazioni umane, esperienza e di conoscenze, da non disperdere.

With the establishment of the environmental forum "All G" wanted, for once, break the horizon of communication and political environment in which we are confined by time, where if there is a G-8 needs to be a force against G 8, a diagram convenient and easy to represent the average (as regularly happened), in which prevails in the conflict between two "symbols", the two images and accurate against, especially when there is no room for critical participation of citizens.

Despite all the problems that we faced along the way, the end we can say that I've made. In fact you have created a small miracle.

The main objective of bringing to public attention the issues of climate change and biodiversity - with all the limitations, and our lack of media coverage received - we can say that much has been achieved.

This is only the beginning, we planted a seed and we grow it.
Despite the prestige of the guests and speakers, we were not able to make our event an event of national character but we must recognize that it was already starting too ambitious and not related to the scope of the "official" whose echo in the national press has been very moderate.
But we have to console us.

During the three days we have presented the document of the National Coalition "in March for the Climate", which indicates the path the international community - primarily Italy - will take to address climate changes and redeploy the economy in an ecological sense, we have discussed with the committees of the struggles for the environment and health carried out in Sicily, we talked about eco-mafia, waste, global justice, the distribution of food resources and more. Not to mention the showing of films, book presentations and exhibitions of artists.

way and there will be time to get back on the ideas and proposals emerged from the many speakers at work, soon to collect and publish on this site, while some of the topics discussed during the meetings, such as soil erosion and protection the coast, we're already measuring our strength striving for a revision of the plan to prevent building new settlements near the coast.
Someone has already launched a proposal to repeat the experience of "All G" on issues such as immigration, the rights of migrants and cultural integration.

short G 8 is the past, but "All G", as we wanted from the beginning, he continues.
climate justice and peoples' rights!
